Spring inspiration

It was blustery on Saturday for the spring day retreat but once we got into the forest, it was full of surprising calm, spring flowers, and a beautiful waterfall. The circle of those who gathered was rich and rewarding. Thank you to all who came! It’s always wonderful to introduce our day retreats to new people, and to see others return as a regular practice of retreat. For those unable to join us – please enjoy the poem (below) which we reflected on. If you are wanting to plan ahead for the summer and fall – check out the retreat page for the dates and registration. Also consider the upcoming Intro to the Enneagram workshop with Carrie Jones!

I Will Not Die an Unlived Life (by Donna Markova)

I will not die an unlived life.

I will not live in fear

of falling or catching fire.

I will choose to inhabit my days.

to allow my living to open me,

to make me less afraid,

more accessible,

to loosen my heart

until it becomes a wing,

a torch, a promise.

I choose to risk my significance,

to live so that which came to me as seed

goes on to the next as blossom,

and that which came to me as blossom,

goes on as fruit.
