Retreat Days



The Wisdom of Autumn Retreat Day – Saturday, October 19, 2019

10 am – 2:30 pm.

A day to reflect upon the wisdom, images, and invitations that Autumn offers. An opportunity to pause and listen deeply to ourselves, one another, the earth, and God’s Spirit, allowing us to re-engage our lives in awakened, refreshed and replenished ways.

Retreat Location: The Contemplative Studio – 3520 19th Street, Jordan, ON, L0R 1S0 (some GPS devices recognize “Lincoln” rather than Jordan). Please note that the studio is accessible via stairs, and the washroom is in a separate, nearby building.

Registration and Payment:

Cost: $50 – Spaces are limited. To register, please fill out the form below and select your form of payment. Your spot is reserved upon payment. Payment can be made by PayPal (button below), e-transfer to OR by post-dated cheque to Laura Mullet Koop 3520 19th Street, Jordan, Ontario, LOR 1S0.

Cancellation Policy: We ask that cancellations be made at least 14 days before the retreat date. Your registration fee reserves your spot in a limited enrolment retreat and we may be unable to offer a full refund if you cancel within 2 weeks of the retreat date.

What to expect:

  • We will begin and end our retreat day by gathering in a sharing circle, an opportunity to listen and learn from one another’s experiences and stories.
  • A guided silent forest walk on the beautiful Bruce Trail easily accessed from the Studio.
  • Personal reflection time with optional art supplies and prompts for creativity and contemplation.
  • Coffee, tea, water and snacks will be provided.

Practical Suggestions:

  • Bring a bag lunch.
  • Come dressed for the weather.
  • Wear supportive footwear or hiking boots for the trail.

Retreat Hosts: Beth Woelk and Laura Mullet Koop

host picBeth is passionate about integrating faith and spiritual practices into everyday life. As a Retreat Facilitator, Beth delights in creating opportunities for reflection, discovery, and connection. She is a trained practitioner of The Circle Way and has completed the Holding Space Practitioner Program. Beth believes in the power of compassionate spaces where we can share our stories and listen deeply to one another. She is currently in Spiritual Direction Training through the Haden Institute and works in the community as a Speech Language Pathologist with a Masters of Clinical Science degree from Dalhousie University.




Laura is a Spiritual Director and in current studies at Waterloo Lutheran Seminary for Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy. She is inspired by friendship, nature, and the challenge of living well in a changing world. She is passionate about creating space that invites people to explore meaning in their lives through reflection, spiritual practice and intentional living.
