Autumn is here

Autumn arrives today officially tilting our northern hemisphere world toward the colder, darker time of the year. The leaves begin to bleed their colours and the particular blue of the September sky in southern Ontario seems endless in it’s depth. There is a lot to enjoy in this season of bounty and fruitfulness and the days of winter hibernation – though we know they are coming – still seem a long way off. The season itself is ample invitation to slow down and bless the beauty around.

I invite you to savour the changing outer season and to consider the inner season of your life as well at the fall day retreat on October 19, 10-2:30. I like to think of the day retreats that Beth and I lead as thoughtfully curated – we think about the balance between opportunities for connecting with others, with self, with God, and with the beautiful world around us, and we would love to share the day with you. Come join us!
